Apply your brand

Once the brand has been defined, it must be applied consistently and effectively. Any "Point of Communication" that a customer has with the company should be considered for branding. This process may start with obvious things, such as the logo, signage, stationery, and brochures, but may expand to include less apparent items like vehicle signage, promotional products, and apparel.

Prioritize based on Impact Value. Don't get blinded by the "gee whiz" factor. Focus on how your customer experiences your company. For example, TV advertising might be exciting, but you might be paying for exposure to a lot of people who won't ever be your customer, whereas a direct mail campaign or advertising in a trade publication would have much more impact.

Consistency is critical. The first rule of applying the brand is "be consistent." The second rule of applying the brand is "be consistent." The third rule is, well, you get the idea. Nothing kills a potentially good brand more than inconsistency. Avoid the exceptions to the rule as much as possible.
